Bell is recruiting a part-time Finance Officer (Credit Control) to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Language Travel and Overseas Contracts debtors, ensuring timely payments and minimising bad debts. You will also oversee the day-to-day administration of the company’s insurance policies.
This role is part-time, working 30 hours per week. This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week from the Cambridge office and 1 day from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Process receipts in CLASS, Dynamics Business Central, and our internal management platform.
* Take payments from clients and assist them with available payment methods.
* Proactively chase outstanding debts to ensure timely payment.
* Process refunds with approved documentation and update records accordingly.
* Manage the EPOS canteen till, including adding prepaid lunch values, reports and reconciling accounts.
* Provide regular reports and escalate debt concerns as needed.
* Prepare bank reconciliations and debtor analysis in line with month-end processes.
* Oversee pocket money receipts, updating spreadsheets and distributing funds to schools.
* Assist with Educational Tour Operator (ETO) discount payments and statement preparation.
* Manage company and student insurance policies.
* Other duties as required to assist with smooth running of the Finance department.
About You
* Strong communication and liaison skills, both internally and externally.
* Proven experience in credit control, debt chasing, and customer account reconciliation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident using various software packages.
* Experience with Dynamics Business Central (Financial Software) and CLASS (booking system) is desirable.
* A proactive and organised approach with excellent attention to detail.
