Job Type: Initial 12 Month Maternity Cover with potential to go Permanent - Full-Time hours
Protocol Education is working with a wonderful primary school in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a dynamic and creative Year 5 Teacher. The role is to cover a Maternity Leave initially for 12 months, with the potential to go permanent.
The School is based in the beautiful area of Hemel Hempstead, in Hertfordshire and they pride themselves on being inclusive and having high expectations of their students to work hard and achieve their best every day! They encourage all children including those with SEN needs to flourish in the environment and provide support to enable all students equal opportunities to succeed and have a positive journey through the school. Year 5 & 6 are often given leadership responsibilities to support their younger peers.
They provide students of all abilities with the opportunity to learn and grow, with local visitors to evidence there are no limits to what they can achieve with the right attitude to learning and passion to push them to achieve their individual life goals.
Job Duties:
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 students
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
* Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive curriculum
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Demonstrated experience teaching Year 5 students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong classroom management abilities
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
* Proficiency in using educational technology in the classroom
Believe that every student, regardless of their background or need, can make outstanding progress.
Are rigorous, relentless, determined, creative, and inspirational in their style and presence as a leader.
Utilise a variety of teaching methods to present engaging, thoughtful lessons and CPD sessions.
Are caring and have the drive and passion to continue to develop strong relationships and the well-being with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals and the local community.
