Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render, and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate at over thirty-one sites throughout Central Scotland, the Northeast of England, and East Anglia.
THE ROLE
Due to our continued success and rapid growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to cover our Teesside area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with our existing customer base, identifying new market opportunities, and driving business growth in the area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and act as the lead point of contact on accounts.
2. Identify opportunities for securing new business with new and existing customers and manage the sale from enquiry through to order.
3. Prepare and submit quotations and respond to enquiries to win new business.
4. Work in collaboration with all required departments (production, technical, credit control, etc.) to ensure all information submitted on quotations is achievable.
5. Deal with price negotiations within existing contracts or changes to T&Cs wherever required.
6. Provide regular, timely, accurate reporting against planned objectives for those accounts.
7. Take a proactive approach to market activity & trends and share this knowledge with the team and other relevant departments.
8. Manage customer complaints from root cause to a satisfactory conclusion.
9. Any other duties as directed by the Commercial Manager to support the business.

2. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other departments.
3. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and drive to deliver.
4. A flexible approach to work to suit business and customer requirements.
5. Strong analytical, IT literacy, and numerical skills.
6. Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
8. A working knowledge of concrete, asphalt, and aggregates would be desirable.
