We are looking for an Activity Worker to work at our residential care home based in S3, Burnt Tree Croft Residential Home. Hours: 15 hours per week Shift Pattern: 10:00am to 3:00pm, includes weekends (usually alternate) and bank holiday work Pay: £12.40 per hour All new team members are required to attend an induction at our training room in S13 prior to starting work in the care home. These are run every three weeks, starting on a Monday between 9:30am until 4:30pm. To organise trips out in the local community, considering transport arrangements and accessibility needs To book external suppliers to provide entertainment To work with staff, families and volunteers within the home and local community in order to enhance the care and support of residents To advise the Registered Manager in adapting existing services and on the introduction of new services and assisting with the planning and implementation To show awareness of individuals' needs having regard for their intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs, taking into account their cultural and ethnic background To uphold the Sheffcare values To implement and uphold safe working practices in line with our regulations and our policies and procedures To attend regular training where required Sheffcare are an independent local charity established in 1994 and care for older people and people living with dementia in our nine residential care homes across Sheffield.
