* Who we’re looking for: A technical expert with proven experience mentoring and inspiring a small team of Python Engineers

Day to day this role will
* Coach and develop a small team of Python Engineers
* Establish and maintain technical standards, architecture, and best practices for Python development
* Make technical decisions considering various constraints
* Lead the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation
* Collaborate with the Product Team to align technical solutions with company vision
* Serve as the technical escalation point for Python-related issues
* Contribute to security initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices
Who we’re looking for
* A highly organised Python Engineer, ideally with experience from a scaling API-first business
* A proven mentor with experience developing more junior team members, instilling engineering best practices and processes
* Experience with DevOps practices and tools in Python environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
* A strong understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
* Familiarity with cloud platforms
