Help with meal preparation and planning, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Provide companionship and support by engaging clients in conversation and activities. Administer medication as per care plans and assist clients in managing their medications. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client progress, reporting any changes to the care team. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote a holistic approach to care. Allowing them to access the community (eg. Taking clients to their appointments) Promoting the clients' independence by offering support and guidance Requirements Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare role preferred. Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between clients. Completion of relevant training or certifications in health and social care is an advantage.
