We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer to play a key role in developing our digital presence and engaging with both internal and external audiences through various digital channels. Concept Housing Association (CHA) is at the beginning of its digital communications journey; therefore, the Digital Communications Officer will help develop and nurture our digital channels, using co-creation techniques, together with technical knowledge and expertise. You will engage with internal and external audiences by creating accurate, appealing, timely, and consistent copy and digital media across our website, social media, and newsletters, whilst reflecting the values and mission of CHA. As part of the CHA communications function, you will initially lead an exciting project to implement a new staff intranet. This will involve running workshops, setting up editing groups, and utilising your knowledge of content management systems to ensure a smooth and effective rollout. In addition, you will play a key role in creating digital content for CHA’s LinkedIn social media channel including creating engaging copy, capturing compelling photography and employing other social media skills to enhance our online engagement. This role demands a high level of creativity and the ability to use insight to expand our digital footprint. About You You will have: Ability to understand user journeys and map these for the development of company intranets and websites Experience in drafting digital content for internal and external use, with a strong understanding of digital best practice Experience of using graphic design packages to create visually appealing content for social media, websites, and other digital platforms Good working knowledge of email service providers to design, create and send marketing emails, for example Mailchimp Good interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate aims Crisis communication, including experience of managing digital communications during a crisis to maintain the organisation’s reputation Project management experience, with evidence of ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A membership of a relevant professional body would be desirable, but not essential An understanding of the housing sector or experience of working within a local authority, charity or the voluntary sector would also be advantageous.
