Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons in Mechanical Engineering to a diverse range of students. Prepare and develop high-quality teaching materials using Information Learning Technology (e.g., Virtual Learning Environment, PowerPoint). Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment. Stay updated on industry trends and potential issues affecting curriculum delivery. Provide guidance on career opportunities within the sector for learners aged 16-18 and 19. Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department. Qualifications: Essential: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Essential: GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent. Desirable: Qualified Teacher Status or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification. Desirable: Qualified Assessor or willingness to work towards assessor qualifications. Experience & Skills: Desirable: Experience teaching in one or more fields of Mechanical Engineering. Strong understanding of the engineering sector and current industry practices. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Proficient in using educational technology and software to enhance learning.
