About the role The position would suit an individual looking to join an established team within a fast paced work environment. As the company focuses on clear communication the accounts team ensures the wheels keep turning and are the backbone of the operations process. As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification. You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning and Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as ongoing coaching and mentoring from/with your line manager. AAT Level 2 and Level 3 (industry recognised Qualifications) are delivered on a modular basis, via fortnightly Tutor led group workshops (live, virtual 6 hour sessions) and bi-monthly exams, taken at a local accredited / approved AAT testing centre (location to be confirmed). You will also complete study, assignments and coursework, and a blend of learning and development activities, all, within the workplace, and will be given ‘Protected Time’ each week to do this - so no homework This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all of the learning required. Key responsibilities include: Posting purchase invoices. Reconciling supplier statements. Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries. Preparing payment runs Allocating bank payments and receipts. General office duties. Responding to emails / phone calls. Assisting with other accounting duties including credit control and management accounts when required.
