EQUANS is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our refurbishment team. This is a full-time permanent role based at our Slough Site, with our head office in Hatfield. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
This role involves working as part of our refurbishment team on social housing properties, focusing on internal and external works. Our ideal candidate will have experience in CVRs, working with subcontractors, and schedular rates.

What will you deliver?
* Management and control of subcontract orders, accounts, and variation accounts in line with the main contract and subcontract database.
* Post-tender internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign-off while ensuring budget compliance.
* Conduct contract risk and opportunity assessments to identify areas and plan accordingly to ensure pricing remains on budget without undermining Health and Safety.
* Manage subcontractor and professional services selection for new schemes, ensuring the chosen contractor has the appropriate order and information to carry out their work, and assist in preparing procurement schedules, liaising with legal counsel regarding contractual information (collateral warranties, PCGs, etc.).
* Complete a monthly cost/valuation report and cash flow for designated projects.
* Commercial reporting/CVRs completed independently for MQS approval.
* Logical and auditable preparation of relevant documentation for valuation, procurement, and commercial administration.

Who are we looking for?
* Relevant QS experience
* Social housing and refurbishment experience
* Experience working for a main contractor
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the supply chain and/or external clients to ensure the business maximizes profit throughout contract schemes
* CVR experience
* Excellent numeracy and verbal communication skills
* IT skills
* Full clean UK driving license
