We are seeking energetic and imaginative Support Workers, both part-time and full-time, to assist in delivering our specialist Supported Living service in Braintree, Essex. As part of the role, you will regularly drive clients, so a full UK driving license is preferred.
Our Braintree service supports people with learning disabilities and/or autism to transition from hospital environments. We assist individuals with complex support needs, including mental health issues, forensic backgrounds and behaviours that may cause distress or challenge.
We are looking for warm, proactive Support Workers who demonstrate person-centred values and believe they can empower people with learning disabilities to transform their lives. We welcome applications from those passionate about making a difference and who thrive on thinking creatively to support individuals who may struggle with conventional models of support.
The role requires flexibility across the week, including shifts during evenings, weekends and bank holidays. A high level of motivation and personal commitment is essential, along with skills in engaging service users in planning their support. You will be allocated to a tenant’s Core Team based on compatibility, considering personality, shared interests and the individual’s goals and aspirations. Good health and the ability to carry out all expected care and daily living tasks are necessary. You will have the choice of weekly or monthly pay.
