A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a job-share Oncology & Haematology Service Co-ordinator. The post will be working 15 hours per week, on a Monday and Thursday.
The role will be supporting the Oncology & Haematology Centre Management team with the daily operational management of the Centre, ensuring the smooth delivery of a quality patient-focused service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist with the provision of all patient services in the Centre as requested by the management team. The position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager who manages performance of inpatients, day case and outpatient services as per locally and nationally agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.
In addition, the post holder will provide leadership and management for the day-to-day running of the Administrative and Clerical team (A&C team) within the Oncology & Haematology Centre.

The Oncology & Haematology Centre cares for patients within the Outpatients clinic, Chemotherapy Day Unit, Haematology Day Unit and Radiotherapy departments based in the Lingen Davies Unit at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
We have 10 Consultant Oncologists and 5 Consultant Haematologists supported by teams of Middle Grade and Junior doctors, CNS teams, Nursing and HCA teams, Navigators, Medical Secretaries and an Admin team of 15 staff members currently.
The Service Co-ordinator is a pivotal role in the Centre structure, working closely with Clinicians whilst leading the admin teams who play a vital role in supporting our Health Professionals to provide the very best care.
