Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
About the Role:
In this position, you will play a key role in providing a broad and balanced curriculum, equipping students to become confident, lifelong learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the teacher to maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
* Assist in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustment of teaching strategies.
* Monitor and assess pupils’ responses to learning activities, recording achievements against predetermined objectives.
* Provide objective feedback and reports on pupil progress to the teacher.
* Maintain and update routine records, contributing to system reviews as needed.
* Promote positive values and behaviours among students, managing conflicts in line with school policies.
* Liaise sensitively with parents/carers and participate in feedback sessions as directed.
* Provide clerical/admin support, including the administration of coursework and preparation of resources.
Curriculum Support:
* Implement agreed learning activities and adjust approaches based on pupil needs.
* Support local and national learning strategies, enhancing literacy and numeracy skills.
* Encourage the effective use of ICT in learning and help students develop their independence in its use.
* Prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment in line with educational strategies.
Pupil Support:
* Utilise specialised skills to assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Establish positive working relationships with pupils, serving as a role model and setting high expectations.
* Promote inclusion and acceptance, supporting each student’s individual needs.
* Encourage collaborative learning and foster a supportive classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
