Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Modular is part of Vanguard Healthcare Solutions Limited which was established in 1999. A UK-Based, privately owned, international provider of infrastructure and clinical services supporting healthcare clients worldwide.
Our purpose-designed and built mobile and modular facilities provide our clients with new or replacement healthcare spaces including operating theatres, endoscopy suites and sterilisation and diagnostic departments. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment for our facilities.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager on a fixed term contract for 6 months to work nationwide managing and leading full turnkey medical facility construction projects.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from inception to completion. Your role will involve coordinating and collaborating with various stakeholders, including a team of architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget, Programme, and quality parameters to achieve zero defects.
The post requires flexibility as it involves potential for considerable travel throughout the UK and Europe, including nights away from home.
On site presence may be required 5 days per week for the duration of critical projects.
Responsibilities for the project manager role include:
* Lead and motivate the Vanguard project team, including contractors and subcontractors, to achieve project goals
* Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and resolving issues. Including group functions in the wider Vanguard company
* Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and Management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and achievements
* Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction projects meet industry standards and client expectations
* Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress and identify areas for improvement and report for the lessons learnt completion meeting
* Drive Quality through to zero defects on all projects by evidence and reports
* Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays
* Prepare accurate project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle
* Assist the Pre-Construction team and Work Winning Team with site visits, programmes, phase plans, logistics plans etc to support our bids
* Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety standards
* Ensure a safe and inclusive work environment for all Vanguard staff and subcontractors
* Assume day to day responsibility and performance of all live sites within the remit of the Project manager
* Ensure that all mandatory paperwork and certification are in place during the works
* Develop and drive comprehensive construction programmes, including short range programmes, target programmes and close out programmes along with any resource allocation that is required
* Coordinate and collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure project requirements and objectives are clearly defined

Requirements for the project manager role:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential. A master's degree or HTM/HBN building regulation experience is desirable.
* Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry, with a focus on managing complex building projects
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, regulations, and industry best practices
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
* Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
* Proficient in project management software and tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
* Experience in a similar project management environment
* Proven background in managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Must hold a full UK driving licence, CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work and a valid passport
