In a nutshell
At Virgin Atlantic Airways, we believe that everyone can take on the world, and it's our vision to become the most loved travel company. As we embark on this next exciting stage of our journey, we're harnessing our spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation to challenge the status quo.
We're on the lookout for a Technical Product Owner - Power Platform to join our in-house Digital Development and Delivery team.
The Technical Product Owner - Power Platform plays a vital role in the design, development, and performance of Virgin Atlantic's Power Platform solutions. As part of a multi-disciplined team, they contribute at each stage of the product lifecycle: managing delivery backlogs, providing transition support, ensuring solutions are handed over effectively into BAU support, and guiding stakeholders through the Technology Front Door process for future demand.
Technical Product Owners are champions of both the brand and the user, working to an overall annual product vision - including contributing to the business's long-term vision for digital experience - and quarterly planning cycles of agile delivery. The Technical Product Owner will work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to jointly share learning, push standards, and seek innovation, ensuring the brand identity is flawlessly implemented, and user experiences are seamless from touchpoint to touchpoint.
Day to day
Some of your key responsibilities as our Technical Product Owner - Power Platform will be:
* Act as the single point of contact and Product Owner for all activity on the Microsoft Power Platform as part of the transition.
* Document platform governance standards, ensuring alignment with IT policies, DLP controls, and best practices.
* Ensure that all solutions in transition meet agreed compliance, security, and supportability criteria.
* Monitor platform usage and adoption during the transitional period, raising risks or technical issues with appropriate stakeholders.
* Ensure traceability of requirements, stories, and delivery progress using appropriate tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
* Engage business stakeholders to understand and manage expectations on Power Platform delivery.
* Communicate the updated model for Power Platform engagement, including transitions from project to support.
* Support business teams in understanding platform capabilities and best practices.
* Ensure all Power Apps are embedded into the Applications Support Model (L1/L2/L3) with agreed SLAs.
* Liaise with offshore L3 support teams to ensure continuity of support and understanding of in-flight work.
* Verify that full documentation and technical specifications are available for support and knowledge transfer.
About you
In addition to the above, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience as a Product Owner, Solutions Specialist, or Platform Owner within a digital or technology environment.
* Strong knowledge and practical experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
* Demonstrated ability to manage backlogs, define priorities, and translate business needs into technical requirements.
* Experience working with support models, particularly L1/L2/L3 structures and documentation standards.
* Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks, especially Data Loss Prevention (DLP) within Microsoft environments.
* Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience in working with offshore support teams or vendors preferred.
* Microsoft certifications around Power Platform (e.g., PL-900, PL-100) are desirable.
If this sounds like you, and you would like to be on this exciting journey with us, we would love to hear from you.
