Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Manager East Kent Mencap is looking for a passionate and creative Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of our marketing and communications strategies, strengthen our brand, and grow our supporter base. You’ll be responsible for increasing awareness of our charity’s mission, running fundraising campaigns, and engaging with our community across multiple channels.Join a dedicated team committed to empowering people with learning disabilities. About the Role In this dynamic position, you’ll lead innovative fundraising and marketing campaigns, develop engaging content across platforms, and strengthen partnerships to support vital services. Your work will include: • Working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to successfully develop and deliver engaging and impactful marketing and fundraising campaigns, to build the charity’s profile, engage audiences and raise essential funds to support the work of East Kent Mencap.• Proactively researching and securing potential funders and leading successful bid submissions.• Building meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and media to boost support.• Managing fundraising activities, including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, and legacies.• Organising and promoting fundraising events, working closely with volunteers, partners, and the community.• Designing and managing creative campaigns that resonate with local and wider communities.• Overseeing impactful storytelling and brand consistency to inspire and inform. Ideal Candidate Profile • Proven Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within a charity, non-profit, or comparable environment and/or relevant qualifications to support the role.• Excellent Communicator: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.• Digital Marketing Skills: Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital analytics.• Fundraising Knowledge: Understanding of different fundraising techniques, including digital, community, and corporate fundraising.• Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement effective strategies, both for short-term and long-term growth.• Passion for Our Mission: A genuine commitment to the values and mission of East Kent Mencap Why Join Us?
