Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive school in Bury. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced educators to support SEND pupils, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. This is a rewarding role where you can truly impact the educational and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support SEND pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis.
2. Assist with classroom activities and provide tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
3. Help students develop social and communication skills.
4. Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) alongside the teaching team.
5. Support pupils with personal care and mobility when required.
6. Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the students.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience working with SEND pupils or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
2. A patient, empathetic, and caring approach.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively within a team.
5. A commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
2. Additional training or experience in working with specific SEND needs, such as autism, dyslexia, or physical disabilities.
