What you’ll be doing : The Head of Contract Management is accountable for ensuring all IT-related contracts are reviewed, negotiated and renewed in a timely manner. Responsible for driving enhanced value into supplier contracts. Successfully identifying, selecting and on boarding key suppliers by running all RFPs and tender activity to drive competition in the supplier base. You will be required to: In conjunction with the Director of Contract Management formulate a contract management plan that aligns with the organisation’s technology needs, compliance requirements, and business goals. Serve as a subject matter expert on IT contracts, ensuring the organization maintains competitive and legally sound agreements with vendors and service providers. Negotiating large, complex contracts for an international multi-site business. Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT-related contracts, including the drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and termination of contracts for software, hardware, services, cloud, and outsourcing arrangements. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and organizational policies in all IT contracts. Proactively i dentify, assess, and mitigate risks in IT contracts, including security, data privacy, and service delivery risks. Manage compliance audits and ensure that contractual obligations are met by both the o rganisation and vendors. Provide regular reports on the status of IT contracts, key performance indicators (KPIs), risk areas, and vendor performance to senior leadership. Maintain transparent communication with internal teams about the terms, obligations, and performance of IT contracts Assist in the creation of internal guidelines, policies, and training materials to enhance contract management practices across the organization. What you’ll need to have: Extensive experience within IT Vendor or contract Management experience involving excellent negotiation skills in the context of licensing agreements, cloud services, managed services. Experience working with and negotiating nearshore or offshore contracts to deliver work is a core competence Strong background in IT, software licensing, and service agreements, with a deep understanding of technology trends, procurement practices, tender practices and legal aspects of IT contracts. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex contract terms to non-technical stakeholders. Assertiveness to negotiate and have tough conversations with partners to ensure value is maintained. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams in IT, legal, finance and Group IT. In-depth knowledge of IT-related laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property, software licensing, and cybersecurity laws. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to assess contract performance and identify risks or inefficiencies. Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to contract management challenges. Proficiency with contract management software, document management systems, and collaboration tools. An understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and technology procurement processes. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in IT contracts, with a focus on data security, privacy, and vendor performance. Experience with managing compliance audits and ensuring adherence to internal and external standards. CIPS is advantage however not essential.
