Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has become available in out Lymington outpatients for a band 6 Junior sister/ charge nurse post. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who demonstrates great professionalism, has leadership skills they would like to further develop and would like to be a part of a growing team. The right candidate will be integral to the growth of the team and the service. This is a full time position, part time might be considered for the right candidate, Lymington outpatients provides a positive work life balance with clinics currently running from Monday- Friday. although this is an Ophthalmology outpatients position, knowledge and experience in ophthalmology is not essential- training can be provided. Strong leadership skills will be a positive. Any successful candidate will have a period of time based in Southampton eye unit to support training, then a requirement of attending some sessions with the senior team in UHS to continue the collaborative work. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Senior Sister in the management of the Lymington eye OPD department, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and available resources are used efficiently. You will be able to demonstrate clinical expertise, acting as a role model within Clinical specialty and facilitate a good learning environment for staff and learners.
