Job overview: Risk Administrator As the Risk Administrator your primary responsibility will be the implementation of the risk strategy as agreed with the Head of Risk and senior leadership team, ensuring that appropriate action is taken on the outputs from the team’s key performance metrics and business processes that detect and prevent fraudulent activities. The overall objective of this role is to minimise financial, legal and reputation risks (losses) to the company, which will help in enabling the company to maximise revenue through a balanced risk strategy. The business will be looking to you to take proactive risk mitigation actions to help protect OnBuy from the current, new and emerging risks faced across both our seller and buyer populations. Key Responsibilities: Seller Risk Mitigation Monitor and investigate developing risks across all of OnBuy’s sellers. Support the Risk Manager and Head of Risk to continually improve and develop the team’s KPIs and reports. Monitor Seller compliance with OnBuy’s Terms and Conditions of trading and associated policies. Liaise with sellers to understand and address poor performance, taking decisive action to mitigate risk when necessary. Buyer Risk Mitigation Monitor and investigate transactional data for emerging fraud patterns, including CNP, ATO, Friendly Fraud, Triangulation Fraud and Buyer/Seller Collusion. Support the Risk Manager and Head of Risk to continually improve and develop the robust and scalable chargeback defences. Product Compliance & Violations Monitor and investigate reports made to the OnBuy Product Violation desk. Support the Risk Manager and Head of Risk to continually improve and develop scalable processes for both proactive product compliance, and reactive compliance based on reports from third parties. Customer Service Escalations Monitor and investigate enquiries made by the Customer Service team and flag any that may indicate a wider issue with a buyer or seller. Projects Support the business in the delivery of key projects through ad-hoc tasks as and when required. Requirements Essential Competency in Microsoft Excel (including basic pivot tables). Able to communicate effectively. Strong problem-solving skills. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Open, honest & approachable. Ability to effectively challenge/engage sellers as required. Desirable Previous eCommerce experience, preferably in an Online Marketplace. Capable of constructively challenging assumptions. Knowledge/experience of Buyer risk management. Experience querying databases. Benefits The salary on offer for this role is £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.
