Leigh on Sea is a corps at the heart of the local community. The Community Intergenerational Mission Development Lead will enable a stronger mission and ministry element to be brought to an expanding programme of the corps and community centre, forging links between the programme and corps, the wider church, and the local community.
Key responsibilities:
to develop, resource, enable and pioneer existing and fresh expressions of whole family mission and ministry that seek to fulfil the five mission priorities of The Salvation Army with a focus on bringing whole families into a living faith in Jesus.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. A commitment to Christianity and are a practising Christian.
2. The ability and willingness to support the fulfilment of the spiritual aims of the programme, showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants and be willing to support an individual’s spiritual needs.
3. Experience of developing & organising effective community spiritual programmes for a diverse range of participants.
4. Good communication skills & ability to develop effective working relationships & network with other organisations.
5. Good administration skills & Safeguarding knowledge
6. An ability to work within The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and key values
