Description Position Summary Respond to and attend to painting and touch-up requests. Communicate with engineers to address surface imperfections or aesthetic issues in buildings and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on painting tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and storage. Inspect surfaces, machinery, and equipment for areas needing paint touch-ups. Maintain and carry necessary painting supplies (e.g., brushes, rollers, sprayers). Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utilities before painting. Keep an inventory of paints and materials, requisitioning supplies when needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication methods. Display knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and finishing processes. Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repairs, and wood trim refinishing. Test and troubleshoot equipment needing paint or finishing. Follow safety policies, report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety certifications. Handle materials properly, especially paints and chemicals. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to quality standards, ensuring all painting work meets expectations. Foster positive relationships within the team, supporting common goals and responding to colleagues' concerns. Communicate clearly with all team members. Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders as needed for painting tasks.
