Job overview
The post of Assistant Divisional Manager is a key position within the trust’s senior management structure. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Assistant Divisional Manager is responsible for providing operational and strategic management support to the Divisional Manager, Head of Nursing and Divisional Director.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for effective operational management leadership, expertise, and support for a number of key areas within the Division ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient services within the resources available.
This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical and administrative innovation and modernisation, ensuring the delivery of all operational performance and strategic objectives.

Operational and Performance Management
* Be accountable for the delivery of services provided by the Division within available resources.
* Actively promote and develop new ways of working.
* Identify and address service pressures.
* Monitor Division activity levels.
* Lead and participate in ad hoc project work as and when required.
Person specification
Education
* Evidence of continued professional development within healthcare management.
Experience
* Previous proven operational management experience in the NHS or similar environment.
* Evidence of financial management.
* Evidence of leading change programmes/service developments.
Skills
* Able to demonstrate organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Data analysis skills.
* Presentation and communication skills.
Due to the nature of this position, employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, completion of a satisfactory DBS disclosure and two references.
