Department Overview
The International Labelling Group (ILG) works within a matrix organization and provides physician and patient labels for nationally approved products to global markets. ILG revises more than 10,000 labels a year, triggered from a wide variety of sources. Labeling at Pfizer is currently undergoing revolutionary changes given its shift towards the use of generative artificial intelligence, structured data, healthcare interoperability and digital health. These initiatives are designed to improve access to trusted medicinal product information that is tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
The HLM-UG will gain regulatory labelling expertise to review, develop and deliver Patient Leaflets for nationally registered products across multiple countries/regions and support the submissions to the local health authorities (HA). The HLM-UG will also provide associated labeling support to the rest of the ILG organization and there may be opportunities to rotate between multiple regional teams within ILG. The core learning opportunities are as follows:
* To produce labelling related documentation for submission to HAs, readability testing.
* To support data management for labelling activities including global document management system and Pfizer approved labelling tracking system.
* To support projects involving the use of current and new technology and processes to support global management of labels, with a particular focus on digital health solutions.
* Support digital transformation initiatives and assist with labelling data analysis.

When can I start?
Placements will start on 1st September 2025 and will run for 12 months.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ‘Skills’, ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Motivation’:
* Currently studying a degree course in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or other life-sciences degree, Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical/Bioengineering etc).
* Interest in product labelling worldwide.
* Interest in exploring new solutions, i.e., using AI to bring efficiency gains to processes and system management.
* Interest in the application of digital health solutions to support healthcare interoperability; interest in application of Health Level 7’s FHIR standard.
* Good analytical skills and a desire to work with real-world data.
* Good attention to detail.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
