We’re looking for a self-motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing Customer Service and Support team.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive top-tier service by conducting site visits, inspections, and maintenance UK-wide and internationally. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for engineering for the brewing, distilling, food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, an eye for detail, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations. In addition, willingness to travel nationally and internationally (overnight stays required) is an essential aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair across Briggs’ installed base at customer sites.
* Produce detailed job reports, highlighting faults and necessary repairs.
* Deliver on commitments with ownership and accountability.
* Adhere to customer site regulations and requirements during every visit.
* Support the Customer Service and Support team by providing valuable site feedback.
* Identify opportunities for new service revenue.
* Represent Briggs with professionalism as the face of the company on-site.
Desired Skills & Experience:
* An experienced mechanical engineer with a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical engineering.
* A methodical approach to work, with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Computer literacy in tools like HubSpot, Microsoft Office, and Concur.
* A valid UK driving license.
* A team player who can also work independently.
* A strong sales and service mindset with a customer-first attitude.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (overnight stays required).
