A little about the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Team Manager will take a leadership role within the team and provide supervision, support and training to a group of Social/Case Workers.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
* Recruitment and retention of a team of Social/Case Workers.
* Carry a small, protected case load, as and when required; assist Social/Case Workers with complex cases.
* Ensure quality assurance and best practice is maintained in all Social Work practice.
* Work with the Operations Manager to ensure the Social Work team is appropriately resourced and supported.
* Monitor compliance in relation to Case Plans, Placement Agreements, Health and Education Plans, Foster Carer Renewals, WWC checks (or equivalent) and medicals.
* Escalate problems or issues promptly to ensure corrective action is implemented.
The base salary for this position is $106,389.92 - $111,092.80 /annum (based on 1.0 FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is full-time, ongoing.
About you
What we are looking for:
* A Social Work qualification recognised by the AASW.
* Significant experience working in a children and family setting, working directly with foster carers and children placed with them.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
* A comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant legislation pertaining to children’s services.
* Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with young people and adults.
