About the job
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Hostel Caretaking Supervisor to join our Caretaking Team, overseeing the cleaning and caretaking services across multiple hostel sites in the Cardiff area. You will manage a team of operatives responsible for cleaning communal areas and individual rooms, ensuring that our hostels are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead a team of cleaning operatives across various hostel sites, ensuring that communal spaces and individual rooms are cleaned to a high standard.
2. Oversee daily cleaning schedules and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
3. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleaning tasks meet required standards, addressing any issues promptly.
4. Work closely with hostel management to ensure cleaning services align with the needs of our residents.
What We Are Looking For From You

1. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a cleaning, caretaking, or facilities management environment.
2. Strong organisational and communication skills.
3. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning and caretaking.
5. Experience working in environments that house vulnerable individuals, including those with complex needs, is desirable.
6. A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
Additional information
A full and valid driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
