Overview
84 Lumber is seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to grow our oil and gas erosion control products business in Cambridge, Ohio, and surrounding areas. This role focuses on providing innovative erosion control solutions tailored to the oil and gas industry, ensuring environmental compliance and site stabilization for major infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, environmental solutions, or oil and gas industry sales. This role requires a proactive professional with excellent relationship-building skills, a strategic sales mindset, and the ability to provide product expertise to contractors, site managers, and industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and expand relationships with oil and gas companies, contractors, and environmental firms.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the erosion control, stormwater management, and soil stabilization markets.
3. Provide technical guidance on erosion control products, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
4. Work closely with customers to deliver tailored solutions for pipeline, well pad, and infrastructure projects.
5. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to drive strategic sales initiatives.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
7. Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
8. Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
9. Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
10. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.
11. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
12. Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
13. Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
