To be accountable for the efficient and effective day-to-day management of all Adult Physical Health Planned Care services across Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to ensure that services are provided to the highest quality and standard with the available resources.
To provide high-level and complex professional and managerial advice, interpretation, guidance, and instruction as requested and required. To deputise for the Director as required and requested.

* Hearing & Balance Service
* Diabetes Services
* Sexual Health Services
Main duties of the job
1. To be accountable for the day-to-day management of all Adult Physical Health Planned Care services across Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust ensuring that services are provided to the highest quality and standards within the resources that are available.
2. To work collaboratively and in partnership with community-based managers and the other services to ensure operations seamlessly and robustly in accordance with operational plans and procedures.
3. To provide a high-level managerial contribution in ensuring that the Trust succeeds in achieving national targets and ratings (e.g. CQC).
4. To contribute to, facilitate, and chair a wide variety of professional and managerial training forums and meetings as required and requested.
5. To delegate appropriate responsibility and authority to the level of staff consistent with effective decision-making whilst retaining responsibility and accountability for the results.
6. To contribute to service and corporate budgeting processes with delegated authority to manage financial and human resources to ensure the maximum benefit to service users and optimise service delivery.
7. To work with the Clinical Director, Trust training managers, HR Business Partners, and other clinical education staff to ensure that all staff are compliant with statutory and mandatory training requirements and that continuous professional development is a core component of personal development plans.
