A position has arisen for a Mental Health, Learning Disability, and Autism Programme Director within a highly regarded healthcare organisation offering remote working for 6 months+. They are seeking an experienced Interim Programme Director to support the existing teams during a period of extensive activity.
The postholder will provide day-to-day strategic leadership and support to the existing MH, LD & Autism teams, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders including providers through their MH, LD and Autism partnership. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the mental health, learning disabilities and autism portfolio, overseeing delivery of core commissioning and contractual activities, quality and performance management processes to ensure the organisation can deliver on its core functions and responsibilities to the local population.
The post holder will lead and support, as required, on several specific improvement and transformation programmes of work in this portfolio area, including but not limited to:
* Community and mental health service review
* Learning Disabilities and Autism service redesign
* Intensive and Assertive Outreach community service design
Your duties will include the following:
1. Providing day-to-day strategic leadership and support to the existing mental health, learning disabilities & autism teams, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders including providers through the MH, LD and Autism partnership.
2. Managing the day-to-day mental health, learning disabilities and autism portfolio, overseeing delivery of core commissioning and contractual activities, quality and performance management processes to ensure the organisation can deliver on its core functions and responsibilities to the local population.
3. Leading and supporting on several specific improvement and transformation programmes of work in this portfolio area, including community and mental health service review, Learning Disabilities and Autism service redesign, and Intensive and Assertive Outreach community service design.
4. Ensuring the Mental Health and LDA portfolios are agile and adapt to reflect any significant changes in the system collaborative landscape or in the external environment.
5. Developing and maintaining key strategic relationships with those external organisations that are critical to the successful delivery of the portfolios.
6. Supporting Executive and Senior Managers to establish effective Mental Health and LDA portfolio governance and reporting systems which fully align to the system governance and processes.
7. Working with system colleagues to ensure that the development of population health management is integral to the work of the portfolios.
8. Ensuring the appropriate information/data is secured and available to the Portfolios to drive its decision making.
9. Representing the portfolios at national, regional and local level as required to identify further opportunities for learning from and sharing good practice.
10. Ensuring that strategic commissioning decisions are made locally sensitive by working closely with the Clinical Directors and system partners.
