What you’ll be doing
As a Customer Advisor, your role will be to provide council and library services to our customers, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality customer transaction, enquiry, and information service to local residents. This includes dealing with queries that range from council tax and housing benefits to requests for services such as bulky collections and applying for blue badges.
You will engage with customers and local partners to develop and promote the service. Within our council services, this will include supporting the use of our self-service and information facilities, as well as helping customers with a wide range of council services. For our library services, this includes managing our library stock and promoting our Health Agenda, along with running and supporting activities within the centre such as Bounce and Rhyme and adult groups.
About You
We are looking for a friendly and confident individual with excellent customer care and organisational skills. You enjoy working with customers of all ages and can effectively deal with difficult situations while keeping calm under pressure.
You will have excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to delivering good customer service. This job would suit someone with experience of working with the public.
The role can be physically demanding and involves moving around the workplace, assisting customers, moving library stock to and from shelves, restocking display areas, and loading/unloading small crates of library materials/book stock and caddy liner boxes.

Monday 9.15-4.45
Tuesday 9.15-5.30
Thursday 9.15-4.45
Friday 9.15-1.15
Saturday 9.15-12.45
Week two:
Monday 9.15-4.45
Tuesday 9.15-5.30
Thursday 9.15-4.45
Friday 9.15-1.15
