About the Role
Our client, experts in data and business process management, is seeking a Lead Customer Account Manager. This customer-facing role involves maintaining and building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting company products and services. The position also includes managing and mentoring the UK Customer Account Manager team and serving as the technical expert on database and reliability engineering principles.
The role reports to the Managing Director, with functional reporting to the Vice President of Customer Solutions & Reliability Engineering in the USA. It involves close collaboration with the UK Customer Services Manager. The position is home-based, preferably in the West Midlands, UK.
Responsibilities
1. Mentor and coach Customer Account Managers.
2. Manage team activities and understand internal procedures, including EBS and IEEE 762 metrics.
3. Develop customer relationships through regular communication.
4. Support client base growth by promoting data products and services.
5. Assist customers with data submission and engineering review, ensuring data quality for reliability reporting.
6. Address customer requests and issues promptly, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
7. Respond to technical support requests from customers.
8. Monitor and document support cases for timely resolution.
9. Develop understanding of the energy market and plant equipment.
10. Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams and clients.
11. Identify and develop strategies for new sales opportunities.
12. Represent the company professionally, adhering to ethical practices.
13. Adhere to the Q1 Quality First policy.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience.
2. Strong engineering judgment and methodology application.
3. Excellent customer interaction skills.
4. Ability to advocate for customers and motivate teams.
5. Proficiency in face-to-face technical communication.
6. Knowledge of products, training, and delivery techniques.
7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills.
8. Some experience in Power, Oil & Gas industries, or turbines.
9. Familiarity with reliability/statistical techniques is desirable.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
11. Willingness to travel less than 20%.
