The Health Records Department consists of six core services based over three sites, and serves all Directorates and our patients.
We are a dynamic, diverse team of over one hundred staff, where patients and records always come first. We maintain a large library of over one million patient records to a high standard, from creation, scanning, validation, to destruction and everything in-between. Our approachable receptionists support the Outpatient team to run smooth and efficiently, striving for an excellent patient experience. We also have a growing Subject Access team who provides our patients and their representatives access to a copy of their records electronically, via a patient portal.
Our team is enthusiastic and supportive of removing the need for paper, and have accepted the huge challenge of scanning all paper records so they are available at the point of care for our patients.
