Summary:
This position will work directly with advisors and other support team members to ensure
complete understanding of the firm’s investment philosophy and investment strategies. This
position communicates with advisors and management to ensure proper monitoring of client
portfolios, asset allocations, performance reporting and cash flow needs. The team member will
work directly with advisors to ensure that proper allocations are maintained, and all portfolio
maintenance is completed properly. This will include assigning models, rebalancing,
performance reporting, research, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide ongoing investment support to our team’s advisors
2. Invest new accounts per investment parameters and risk profiles, including ad-hoc trades
3. Contribute to general risk management, process improvement, knowledge development
and cross-training efforts
4. Facilitate, articulate, and communicate the firm’s investment philosophy, outlook, and
rationale for asset allocation
5. Conduct regular portfolio analysis by reviewing the Client & Account Monitoring Hub
and rebalance accordingly with permission from the Lead Advisor
6. Run weekly cash balance report and proactively work with advisor on any that are a firm
risk
7. Monitor and track daily trade tasks for accuracy and completion
8. If necessary, monitor and track any trade corrections or adjustments for accuracy
and completion
9. Assist in the creation of client reporting materials
10. May be asked to assist in review of investment models and strategies
11. Complete and track necessary documentation to satisfy home office requirements
(MAAR)
12. Review asset allocation summary report.
Report monitors days outside 10% tolerance for SPS Advantage and Advisor
accounts.
Ensure all < 180 days.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
• This position requires demonstrated poise, tact, patience, and diplomacy
• Work requires attention to detail in such things as composing, typing, and proofing
materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with
demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
Education, Experience, and Licensing:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 year to obtain full licensing: Series 7, Series 66 (or 63 and 65), and
Georgia Life and Health Insurance license
• Continuing education – Lifelong learning is expected.
