Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Financial Documents: Prepare accurate and timely statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, and business plans for a broad range of clients. Client Portfolio Management: Manage your own client portfolio, ensuring that services are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Build long-lasting relationships and offer expert advice on all matters related to tax and accounting. Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive, clear, and expert communication and guidance on their financial and tax affairs. Tax & Accounting Advice: Work closely with the Client Manager to offer tailored advice, helping clients ensure compliance and maximise financial efficiency. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, offering support to help them develop their technical skills and expertise. Cloud Software Implementation: Assist clients in implementing and integrating cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Dext. Ad Hoc Project Support: Provide assistance with special client requests, process improvements, and other ad hoc projects. Key Skills & Experience Required: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in accounting, taxation, and VAT. Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, and business plans for a variety of client types. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Experience in mentoring or supporting junior team members in their professional development. Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Dext is highly desirable. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and other accounting software. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
