About The RoleROLE OVERVIEW To work as a part of the operational OCS Team. The Team Leader will be required to exercise initiative and judgement to ensure the provision of an efficient, effective and a quality 'front of house' service that is supportive to the wards/departments and outer areas. The post holder will be courteous and caring to patients, visitors, all service users and Hospital Staff.You will be working 5 days over 7, 1 weekend in 3, between 10.00-18.00, 37.5 hours per week. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delivering the Service - On a daily basis, team leader will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as and when they arise. This will require an effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing and actively seek constructive feedback on service provision. Team leader's role covers a range of services within facilities.
2. To train, monitor and supervise OCS staff in all the elements of their role.
3. To supervise the handling of clinical waste generated by the retained estate.
4. Supervisors are required to work with staff teams and to carry out domestic, housekeeping and other duties to cover the needs of the service.
5. A Supervisor will be required to have the knowledge and technical ability to be able to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary to complete service delivery.
