About The Role
We’re looking for the very best talent to join us at this exciting time in our journey, as we continue to strengthen our market leader position by providing an even better customer experience. We have an exciting new role for a Head of Sales - Waste Sector with the primary aim of winning and developing revenue streams from large major customers in the Waste sector. You will produce a plan for the waste sector to investigate and develop opportunities for all areas of Sunbelt Rentals.
Working closely with the sales and account management team to develop and deliver a commercial strategy to maximise revenue and profit, whilst leveraging existing customer base and increasing market share. Your key responsibilities will include providing both strategic and tactical plans and proposals for winning new opportunities, with a focus on large strategic, long-term recurring opportunities.
Key success criteria will include:
1. Prepare presentations and quotations.
2. Identify new business opportunities.
3. Ownership and delivery of sector-focused sales & marketing plan to create leads and networking opportunities.
4. Exceed revenue target and budget expectations by growing sales / improving discount margins / improving ROI.
5. Working collaboratively across the whole sales organisation in Sunbelt Rentals.
6. Increasing the customer base.
7. Innovation.

To succeed as a Head of Sales - Waste Sector you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
* Thorough knowledge of the waste industry and key contacts with experience of working in the sector.
* A structured and organised approach to planning and organisation.
* Ability to build and develop solid customer relationships and nurture their personal credibility with clients.
* Solid commercial acumen and financial understanding of opportunities and sales margin.
* Demonstrable success in being able to work to deadlines and deliver results on a regular basis.
