A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and highly motivated individual to join the Physical Performance and Nutrition Department in the role of Academy Performance Nutritionist. The successful individual will be responsible for overseeing the Academy age groups, delivering day-to-day nutritional support to all Academy players. The individual will work closely with the First Team Lead Performance Nutritionist, the Club and Academy chefs, as well as Academy Physical Performance and Medical staff, to ensure alignment between the club’s performance objectives. Key Responsibilities A core function of the role will include the continued development of the Club-wide nutrition philosophy, facilitating the attainment of the wider objectives of the physical performance department and individual needs of the players. This will sit alongside overseeing and delivering the existing education curriculum to all Academy players, parents/guardians, host-families, and key internal stakeholders. The individual will also be required to record and maintain a comprehensive database of compositional analysis adhering to professional standards in-line with the club’s mesocycle structure. In addition, the individual will also hold the responsibility for the Academy supplements budget, and therefore budget management experience is desirable. Based at the Avant Training Centre, the role requires the successful candidate to work throughout the football-season on a full-time basis, which may include evenings and weekends around the training and match schedules of the Academy where required.
