The role is responsible for driving improvements in functional performance through the optimisation and automation of procurement processes and the management of functional systems. With a focus on simplification, standardisation and automation, the role delivers impactful changes through improvements in processes and technology. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and embed use of the processes and systems across the procurement function, thus unlocking Buyers’ value. About the role… This role is focused around driving efficiency through process optimisation and functional system management, ensuring compliance standards are maintained, and risk management. Analysing existing procurement processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Leverage technology and automation tools to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and enhance compliance. Identifies procurement system requirements by engaging with stakeholders to understand functional needs and gaps. Defines and configures system functionalities to align with procurement processes and business goals, ensuring all compliance needs are met. Maintains and oversees the functional procurement systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance. Ensures that procurement systems and processes meet all compliance standards and mitigates risks associated with data integrity, security, and supplier management. About you… We need someone with a passion for driving performance improvement through technology and process change, together with exceptional communications and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure people buy into your changes. You will use your strong knowledge of procurement best practice plus a proven track record of optimising processes and implementing technology driven solutions to drive performance improvements within the Procurement function. Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, 6 Sigma), proficiency in system configuration and maintenance and a passion for driving user adoption are all essential for success in this role. Procurement process improvement experience within manufacturing environment is essential. Strong understanding of procurement systems (SAP, Ariba etc) essential. Professional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, CIPS etc) preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on process automation. A passion for driving user adoption and delivering impactful training programmes.
