This is a unique opportunity to join ‘The Sunday Times Independent Prep School of the Year 2020’ and to work within the structure of a school whose vision is to provide an exceptional education for girls and boys aged two years to eleven years.
Our Reception class provides a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. We recognise the profound impact that secure early relationships have on a child’s future success and place great importance on fostering strong, positive attachments with both adults and peers.
At Newbridge Preparatory School, we see Reception as more than just a transition into formal education—it is a vital stage that builds confidence, curiosity, and independence. We are committed to delivering excellence in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that each child benefits from a rich and engaging learning experience that develops key skills and a love for learning.
The Reception Teaching Assistant will play a crucial role in making each child’s journey through Reception exceptional. This role requires an understanding of each child’s unique personality and needs while also focusing on the essential skills and attributes that will prepare them for the next stage of their education.
The post will suit a EYFS Practitioner with strong experience. A Level 3 Childcare qualification is not essential, but desired.
See for further information.
There are opportunities for overtime at numerous points throughout the year with our 'After School Club' and 'Holiday Club'.
The closing date for applications is 13th February, 9.00a.m. with interview dates the week commencing 24th February 2025. We reserve the right to commence the interview process with early applicants who fulfil the person specification.
Applicants must be willing to undertake several safeguarding checks, including enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) and reference checks with previous employers. The school is an equal opportunities employer. All applicants must have a valid Right to Work in the UK, proof of which will need to be provided on appointment.
Newbridge Preparatory School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. It expects all staff and visitors to adopt a child-centred and coordinated approach to child protection and safeguarding.
