What you will be doing This role will give the chosen applicant an opportunity to develop within Rolls-Royce manufacturing team and enable them to influence the creation and delivery of the next generation composite fan system. The successful candidate will be required to carry out inspections in the development phase within the CTF, giving valuable feedback to key stakeholders. They will be responsible for delivering inspection results across a cross-functional team from Design Engineers, Technical specialist through to Operations and Quality. Responsibilities Completing NDT inspections on a variety of production and test components using conventional UT and phased array. Assessing components produced within the facility against quality standards and having the ability to make technical decisions. This role will require an individual who is able to integrate with a team of highly capable engineers focussed on the delivery of 'state of the art' technology. The candidate must be able to work within a team to effectively resolve any issues which arise and work closely with internal and external customers to continuously develop inspection processes and improve business performance. Assist with Lab based activities such as cut-up correlation and analysis. Maintain a high level of process compliance. Why Rolls-Royce? Experience with manual a-scan and automated c-scan processes. Phased array experience is desirable. Basic understanding in operating IT systems and core Microsoft Office applications. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, quality standards, process specifications and awareness of HSE requirements.
