Maintenance Manager Consortium recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established process manufacturing firm based in Hull. My client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Manager/Team Leader to join our team, where you'll play a key role in improving maintenance and engineering standards across our site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 3 engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
* PPM System Improvement: Drive the development and enhancement of our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, ensuring it's fit for purpose and efficient.
* Work Planning: Help plan and coordinate daily and weekly tasks for the maintenance team, ensuring smooth execution of scheduled work and addressing any breakdowns.
* Contractor Management: Manage relationships with external contractors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
* Spare Parts System: Implement and maintain an organised spare parts system, ensuring critical components are available to reduce downtime.
* Project Involvement: Participate in and lead projects aimed at improving efficiency, updating legacy systems, and integrating new equipment into the production process.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
* Must be multi-skilled.
* Hands-on approach, with a passion for improving systems and processes.
* Experience with PPM systems, spare parts management, and contractor coordination.
* Strong organisational and planning abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Must have contractor control and compliance experience.
Salary & Benefits:
* Competitive salary of £48,000 - £55,000, depending on experience.
