Job Duties:
* TIG welding to ASME IX for casting repair and upgrade of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
* Consumable stock control - i.e., weld wire, electrode, etc.
* Checks for chamber environment pre-weld should vacuum chamber welding be conducted.
* Assessment of excavation site, i.e., the condition of the prep for welding; this may involve manual dressing to suit.
* Welding components in accordance with the relevant WPS documentation.
* Conduct relevant weld qualification tests as required.
* Visual inspection of welds by other welders (post-training).
* Conduct casting upgrade (finishing) activities as and when required.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday - 8 am to 4:40 pm, Friday 8 am to 3:30 pm - 39 hours worked.
