Job description We are looking for a highly motivated Global Sustainability Manager to join a leading healthcare company in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with 4-5 years of experience in sustainability, especially within the FMCG or healthcare industries. In this role, you will align the company's sustainability strategy with group objectives and embed sustainability practices into core business operations. You will play a pivotal role in driving supply chain sustainability, ensuring compliance for new healthcare products, and managing the sustainability aspects of packaging. Key Responsibilities Align the company's sustainability strategy with the overarching goals of the Group. Embed sustainability best practices across all business operations. Lead initiatives around sourcing and supply chain sustainability, including packaging and product compliance. Ensure all new healthcare products meet relevant sustainability and regulatory standards. Manage relationships with regulatory and technical consultants to supplement in-house expertise. Stay up to date with evolving sustainability regulations and initiatives, ensuring the business remains compliant and competitive. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability projects and engage internal and external stakeholders to meet sustainability targets. Qualifications and Skills 3-5 years of experience in sustainability within the healthcare, FMCG, or related industries. Strong understanding and experience of sustainability issues related to consumer packaging and supply chain management. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with both internal and external stakeholders. A degree in Sciences or Engineering; sustainability qualifications or certifications are highly desirable. Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in healthcare or FMCG. Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to sustainability challenges. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. What the organization offers: Competitive salary between £50,000 - £70,000, based on experience. Office-based role from Monday to Thursday, with occasional travel to Asia, Europe, and the US as required.
