What will my role look like as an Area Manager?
Sbarro is an American pizzeria chain that specialises in mouthwatering sold by the slice New York-style pizza and other Italian-American cuisine! We are one of the largest quick service Italian chains in the world and our premium secret ingredients & signature recipes served by the kindest, friendliest employees is what keeps our customers content and coming back for more!
We are the UK’s ONLY franchise and we have extensive plans to roll out multiple new store openings throughout the year. We have an exciting opportunity available for an Area Manager and in the next three years, the primary focus of your position will be to assist in the intense roll out of our new store openings across the UK; which will include travelling to different locations.
As a Sbarro Area Manager you will have the opportunity to use your logical, strategic and management skills to drive the sales, performance and standards for your stores. You will be heavily involved in our new store roll out plan, helping us expand and then you will eventually have responsibility for a minimum of 10 stores across an assigned geographical area. You will have exposure working with a famous brand and strive to make your area excel in all areas including sales, customer service and store audits.
It takes commitment, hard work and dedication to be a successful Sbarro Area Manager but don’t be fooled, this doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and enjoy the benefits and rewards that this role brings. Your working week will consist of visiting your stores to identify and recognize strengths, identify areas for improvement and look to increase sales and profitability through leadership and management skills. You will regularly engage with store managers and teams and set individual and store targets.
This role is all about creating strategies and developing new ideas to help drive store performance, successfully motivating and managing teams, recruiting amazing colleagues into the business and recognising and rewarding hard working teams and individuals. What would my main responsibilities be as an Area Manager?
15. Ensure all new store openings are hired ready for opening dates & meet brand standards
16. Visiting all stores within your area throughout the week to ensure you are consistently aware of how the store is performing
17. Continuously having a hands on approach to coaching, mentoring and motivating managers / teams to achieve amazing results and delegate responsibility
18. Focus on the marketing of the brand, to ensure customer footfall
19. Identify and implement strategies to drive sales and meet targets
20. Recruit high quality managers and colleagues into the business and ensure they feel like part of the family
21. Assist in the training, development and progression of staff
22. Ensure that our stores look presentable and vibrant
23. Strive for stores to pass mystery shopper and audits
24. Be happy, friendly, smile and have fun
