Are you on the look out for a rewarding part-time job where you can make a difference in the lives of others? You're in luck as our #TeamStrathclyde are on the look out for a Support Practitioner to join them part-time (24 hours per week) basis.
The Role
You'll become part of a dedicated team supporting individuals to live as independently as possible in their own home. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll assist them with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping and medication. Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community at their volunteering job.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
* A caring attitude and approach
* Good communication skills
* A positive approach to learning
* An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
* Confidence in the use of computers.
Having a full UK manual driving licence would be beneficial but not essential.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing tailored support to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include a mix of working weekdays and weekend varying from 9am - 7.30pm on a rolling rota.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
