Band Nurse -
Salary - £, per annum (plus supplements if required to work unsocial hours or weekends)
This is the Churchill Hospital. We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join the dialysis team. We are open Monday to Saturday and until midnight on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We even close on Christmas and New Year's Day!
Main Duties of the Job
This team provides dialysis to outpatients from the surrounding areas, and some acute inpatient work as well. The units also provide training and support for patients to dialyze at home. We work on a nurse to patient ratio and also cover remotely at the John Radcliffe Hospital, dialyzing independently in ITU, CTCC, etc. In time, on-call commitment will be included (in shifts).
The post requires flexibility and the ability to alter priorities quickly, as well as a highly organized and assertive approach to care.
We would love to hear from you and show you around.
Working for Our Organisation
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training, and research. The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington, and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
Our values, standards, and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues, and the wider community.
We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement, and excellence.
These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
