Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to work within the North Cumbria East Community Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team at an exciting time of positive change. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment, motivation, and knowledge of working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems.
Main duties of the job
We are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centred care. As a Community Practitioner, you will have a genuine interest in collaborative working with adults with severe and enduring mental health needs. You will also be responsible for your own caseload, providing ongoing assessment, care co-ordination as a Key Worker, and delivering evidence-based intervention in the community.

Education & Qualification
* Experience of working with service users and carers in successful delivery of treatment plans
* Complete preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses
* Multi-disciplinary team work
* Proven ability to develop therapeutic partnership with service users and carers
* Proven ability to communicate interventions to service users
* Further relevant post-qualifying training
Knowledge and Experience
* Knowledge of relevant contemporary professional theories of mental health care and evidence-based interventions
* Understanding of the statutory issues which impact on service users
* Previous experience in a community setting
* Experience of involving service users/carers in evaluation/planning and monitoring of services
Skills and Competencies
* Time Management skills and ability to prioritise workload
* Comprehensive continuous assessment of skills
* Risk Management and Safety Planning skills
* Adaptability, flexibility, good communication skills and a commitment to multi-agency teamwork
Additional Role Requirements
* Must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post
