In this role as an Engineer Assistant, you will join the Aerospace Engineering Team, which consists of a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers including Mechanical, Electronic, and System engineers. The team develops products to support a growing Aerospace business through both Custom Product Opportunities (CPO) and New Product Introductions (NPI). As a successful candidate in this role, you will be part of the team that designs innovative pressure sensors supporting projects from cradle to grave. In this role, you will work closely with all other functions, such as sourcing, advanced manufacturing engineering, and quality, as well as with our onsite and global production teams.
As our Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting multiple areas of a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. You will take on a number of duties across Office administration, engineering support, and SAP administration.
As Technical Engineering Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting office administration duties such as managing office stationery and acting as user and maintenance point of contact for office technology.
* Offering Engineering Assistance through ECM/PI tracking, project tracking/monitoring/chasing.
* Offering General support to Leadership and Project Teams, assisting External Agency/Suppliers POC for engineering drawing processes.
* Acting as a SAP superuser by providing training on SAP transactions, supporting the administrative team, and Engineers with SAP changes, and conducting historical searches in SAP and the legacy system archive.

To be successful in this role, you will be:
SAP superuser
* Have provided training on SAP transactions.
* Have supported the SAP site administrative team.
* Be the department SAP administrator.
* Have supported Engineers with change or release of a new part/document.
* Have conducted historical searches on products/parts in SAP and the legacy system archive.
Advanced user/knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Office tools.
* Template control.
* Procedure adherence.
Office Administrator
* Manage Office Stationery.
* User and Maintenance Point of Contact for Office Technology (Printer, Shredder, etc.).
Engineering Assistance
* ECM/PI tracking.
* Longer-term project tracking/monitoring/chasing.
* General support to Engineer Leader and Project Teams, where skillset needed.
* External Agency/Suppliers POC for engineer drawing processes.
* Administrator of Department Procedures.
Qualifications:
* Diploma or BTEC in Business Studies or equivalent level.
* Strong organisational, people, and time management skills.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience working to deadlines and responding effectively to demanding customer requests.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Aerospace applications, customers, and marketplace.
* Knowledge of Configuration Management techniques.
* Knowledge of Pressure Sensors.
