An opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager/Working Foreman to join my client, a Bristol based regional contractor. They have an expanding portfolio of projects, types of work include full D&B fit outs, refurbishments, design and interiors and larger scale building works such as extensions, re-roofing, alterations and building reinstatement. They are seeking a skilled Site Manager/Working Foreman with experience in multiple construction trades to oversee daily operations on construction sites and complete specific trade works. Projects will typically range between £30k-£500k in refurbishment, general building or fit out. The majority of their work centres around the Bristol area but can range as far as 2 hours away.
Reporting to the project CM the ideal candidate will manage and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership and multitasking abilities, as you will supervise trades, subcontractors, and workers across various building disciplines. You will need a range of trade skills to complete building tasks assigned to you and must have ability to manage your time effectively across the two disciplines of site management and production of trade work. The requirements will vary each project but as a guide your working day will consist of 50% trade work and 50% management.
You will have proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Foreman in construction as a multi-trade background. Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret, schedules of work, specifications, project plans, and Health and Safety information. Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate workers.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of construction software (site audit pro, Microsoft projects)
Health & Safety Certifications CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PASMA,
Minimum of 2 years of experience, with a recognized qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
Valid driving license is required
Own tools and transport is highly desirable
